Luke dominates Golden Guitars

Luke O'Shea has dominated this year's Golden Guitar Awards winning three categories in Tamworth, Australia's Home of Country Music, last night.

His first for the night was for Song of the Year for Three Brothers (The Great War) which also won him Heritage Song while his track Sing You Up won him Male Artist of the Year.

Luke was closely followed by Kasey Chambers, The McClymonts and Dean Perrett who took home two awards each...

Kasey won Single of the Year and Album of the Year with Bittersweet (a vocal collaboration with Bernard Fanning in Single, the album produced by Nick Didia)...

The McClymonts won Group of the Year and the previously announced Top Selling Australian Album of the Year, both for Here's To You And I...

And Dean won Bush Ballad of the Year for Bloodwood Clover (written by Ian Quinn) and Vocal Collaboration with Troy Cassar-Daley for My Country My Land.

Amber Lawrence (pictured here with Luke) won her first Golden Guitar, Female Artist of the Year with Superheroes.

Four more acts also took home their first Golden Guitars from this year's Awards...

Lyn Bowtell who won Alternative Country Album of the Year for Heart Of Sorrow (produced by Shane Nicholson), Kristy Cox, who took out the new Bluegrass Recording of the Year category with One Heartbreak Away, the Adam Eckersley Band who claimed the New Talent title with Give Her The World and Mustered Courage who won Instrumental of the Year with Candle Creek.

Video Clip of the Year was won by Sara Storer with Canoe (directed by Duncan Toombs) while the also previously announced Top Selling International Album of the Year went to Blue Smoke by Dolly Parton.
