The year is galloping on past at a fast pace and the dust has not yet settled on the Golden Guitars, which I was honoured to receive in Tamworth this year.  I still have to pinch myself when I see three Golden Guitars sitting there in my trophy cabinet.

Roo Arcus (pictured) had the number one hit single in Australia last year according to compilers of the national Country Tracks weekly Top 40 chart with his hit song Out On The Farm.

On January 20, a capacity audience at the Longyard Hotel witnessed the Tamworth Songwriters' Association (TSA) presention of awards for entries in the National Songwriting Contest for unreleased material and the Songwriter Salute Awards for released songs from the past year.

Also presented were the APRA/AMCOS/TSA new Songwriter Award and the CRS Encouragement Award.

Leading traditional country music / bush ballad artist Dean Perrett shows once again why he holds the respect and admiration of fellow music peers and fans alike. Tamworth 2015 is just one more fantastic festival for Dean as he adds to his accolades; on Saturday the 17th, Dean was announced as an inductee into the Australian Country Music “Hands of Fame” in Tamworth.
